Here's the trip itinerary:
Austin BBQ Tour
6:30am: Leave Dallas
9:30am: Franklin Barbecue, 900 E. 11th, Austin, (512) 653-1187. Open Tues-Sun, 11 a.m.-until the meat runs out.
Noon: La Barbecue, 1502 S 1st St, Austin, 512-605-9696. Open Wed-Sun 11am-6pm.
1pm: John Mueller Meat Co., 2500 E. 6th Street, Austin, Open Tues-Sun 10:30am until sold out.
2:00pm: Micklethwait Craft Meats, 1309 Rosewood Ave, Austin, 512-791-5961. Open Wed-Sun 11:00am-3:00pm.
3:30pm: Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew, 6610 N Lamar Blvd., Austin, 512-380-9199 . Open Tues-Thurs 11am-8:30pm, Fri-Sat 11am-9:30pm, Sun 11am-8pm.
4:30pm: Head back to Dallas
